For four days me, Amy and Fanny discovered the beautiful Swedish island Gotland. First we drove down south and visited Isabelle and her family, had breakfast at Hotel Stelor and drove up north to Fårö and Furillen and ended our trip with a night out in Visby and a day at the Fridhem beach. Here are our best Gotland tips:

I fyra dagar förra veckan upptäckte jag, Amy och Fanny vackra Gotland. Vi hade hyrt bil och körde från norr till söder med ett antal stopp på vägen, mest för att äta kanellbullar (aldrig ätit så goda, och så många, bullar förut). Här är våra bästa gotlandstips:

Leva Kungslador: Just outside Visby and this little café, shop and garden is definitely worth a stop. Great lunch buffet.

Fidhem: Quiet and pretty beach close to Visby

Själsö Bageri: Best cinnamon buns I’ve ever tried. We stopped by here a few times…

Hotel Stelor: We tried to book a room here but they were fully booked. I totally see why, exactly my kind of hotel, cosy and small with a great breakfast buffet that we got to try out.

The blue lagoon and the green lagoon: Two really nice bathing stops in the north part of the island.

Rute Stenugnsbageri: More amazing cinnamon buns!

Bungenäs: Really cool place with different restaurants (our favorite was Kalkladan) and beautiful nature.

Creperie Tati: Cozy place for dinner at Fårö.

Furillen: Such a cool hotel and restaurant. Loved it here, excatly my kind of aesthetics.

South of Gotland: We never got to drive down to the very south but we’ve heard that Hablingbo Creperie, restaurant Guldkaggen, Körsbärsgården, Hamna krog and Grå Gåsen is supposed to be really nice places for food or a coffee.

Visby: It might have been the fact that we timed our Visby visit with the so called Stockholm Week but one night in Visby felt like more then enough. Just not our kind of fun. Surfers, Supper and Vinäger is great tips for dinner or drinks though.

Tips: Rent a car!! It was the only thing we had pre booked and it was the best thing ever. We rented an old one from a place called Mickes Biluthyrning and I think it costed us 350:- a day. Old and a bit rusty but we loved it.
